Games
Here are a couple of flash games you can play just using your browser. Some of these games are quite addictive, so dont start playing if you need to get some work done today! Click on the little screenshots to open the game (in a new window/tab).
Proximity
Proximity is an easy to learn, but surprisingly hard to win strategic puzzle. It involves placing numbered hexagons on the playing field, where higher numbers are able to ''capture'' adjected lower-numbered enemy hexagons. Read the instructions included, and crank up the computers level to ''expert'' to get a challenge. Created by Brian Cable.
Planarity
Arrange the vertices such that no edges overlap. You can drag the blue dots, moving the interconnecting lines with them. The goal of the game is to re-arrage the dots such that none of the lines between them cross. The screenshot is the almost-solved stage. Though very simple in concept, completing the puzzle is quite a lot of work beyond level 10 or so. Created by John Tantalo.
Shuffle
Shuffle has the mechanics of playing pools. Hold a ball and drag a vector with the mouse. The goal is to bump all ''enemy'' balls off the playing table. With progressing rounds you get less balls to start with, making the game quite challeging. Origin unknown. |
